Global: 2022 Mazda 3 Gets a Carbon Edition Package

The 2022 Mazda 3 will receive an aesthetic upgrade as the company is set to offer a premium Carbon Edition Package.


The new model will be painted with a Platinum Quartz Metallic exterior to emphasize its aggressive lines, while the interior will be dressed in a classy red leather trim. Mazda will be offering the package for both the sedan and hatchback versions of the model.


The new Mazda 3 is expected to receive different inline-four engine variants for its model options. The sedan will be powered by a 2.0-liter engine while the hatchback will receive a 2.5-liter turbo engine.


It was reported that Mazda will also offer a premium engine option for the hatchback. A turbo-charged version of the 2.5-liter engine, tuned to deliver an output of 250 horsepower with 320 pound-feet of torque. The engine will be paired with an all-wheel drive powertrain and matched with a six-speed automatic transmission.


Aside from the aforementioned upgrades, the car will come with gloss black door mirror caps, black 18-inch wheels, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.


The official unveiling of the model is yet to be announced, but the company is expected to make the reveal when their lineup for the year is already complete.
